Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

My Approach

I am passionate about supporting individuals in developing a healthier relationship with their emotions, body, and sense of self. I focus on exploring emotional experiences and identifying information that may be overlooked when emotions and bodily awareness are neglected.

My approach often includes mindfulness practices delivered with compassion and without judgment, even during times of intense critical thoughts. Additionally, I utilize techniques from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients understand the origins of their feelings, the purposes these feelings serve, and how to collaborate with them effectively. I also incorporate other therapeutic methods as needed to best serve each client's unique needs. Examples include mindfulness, attachment theory, DBT/CBT/ACT, somatic, psychodynamic and psychoeducation interspersed.

For in depth trauma work, I utilize Mentalization-Based Narrative Exposure Therapy (MBNET), which is a exposure modality to address complex interpersonal trauma (https://www.thekilnschool.com/podcast/episode-7).
